I love my friend Candi's talent.  She took pictures of Ivy a few weeks ago.  Go to her website www.candiphoto.com and you can log in and see them.  Password 16401-ivy0812

One to Grow On

Hard to believe our sweet baby Ivy is one.  She is joy in our house.  Her giggles and little personality brighten my days.  She has learned to go with the flow but  is also good at voicing her option when she feels the need. She is walking and climbing and loves playing with her sisters.  We had a garden party for her that I couldn't have done without my mom and Emily.  They've helped in so many ways the past few weeks and I am so grateful and thankful. I will tell Ivy all about it someday and I know she will feel loved like I have. :)

Whew!

The last three weeks have been FULL.

While David was on a layover in Santa Barbara he and his crew took bicycles to the beach.  On the way back to the hotel the chain on his bike locked up and he flipped over his bike.  This resulted in a broken collar bone, broken toe and multiple scrapes and bruises.  He made it home late the next day and had  surgery a week after the accident.  His collar bone was broken and "severely displaced" according to his medical chart.  The surgeon said that he only does surgery on broken collar bones about 1 in 50 times.  Guess he's that lucky one?  David is now a bionic man with a plate and seven screws in his shoulder.  We're on the healing side of things now, but David is not able to work for at least 8 weeks.  There are good and bad things about not being able to work.  It's good that he is home for Ivy's first birthday and birthday party, our 10 year wedding anniversary and the first day of school and just having him around is really nice.

I'm sure there are other things that have happened during the last few weeks but these are the biggies and boy am I ready for a nap.

Hazel's first day of Pre-Kindergarten.  We were able to transfer her into Wilson Elementary which is a school near our house and the best elementary in OKC.  Wilson is an arts integration school supported by the Kennedy Center.  Her teacher is Mrs. Bumgarner who has been teaching for many years and who just happens to be the granddaughter of the actor James Garner. More on school later.

Hayden's first day of pre-school is next week but she felt she need a picture too.

10 YEARS
David is sweet even when he is recovering from surgery. ;)  Flowers for our 10th wedding anniversary.

THEN and NOW

We had a wonderful fancy adult dinner last night at the Coach House.  It's amazing that it has been 10 years.  I feel honored to be David's wife and so thankful for the last 10 years.
