I love catching sweet times like these......usually when I get the camera out they move. Thank you IPad for the distraction. :)

Front Porch Swing

One of our favorite places is the front porch swing.

Some Videos

Abe has been so good with the girls this summer. He will spend hours on the leash having Hazel pull him around and tie him up to stuff. Part of our new checklist before leaving the house is to make sure Abe is not tied up somewhere. I'm thankful he is such a sweet dog. The girls give him baths, feed him and give him lots of love.

Gymnastics

This summer Hazel has been going to gymnastics. She has been enjoying it and telling us about how strong her muscles are getting. She always comes out of gymnastics saying, "I'm sweaty!".

J5 Wedding

Some of our dear friends got married this weekend in Kansas City. Although it was a hot weekend, we enjoyed seeing friends and being a part of their special day.

My handsome groom, I'm proud to be his wife. Weddings always make me reflect on my marriage and how thankful I am to have David in my life.

Veronica is such a sweet and beautiful bride.
The people in the wedding party were all troopers, the heat index was way above 100 degrees. And yes, all 5 of the bridesmaids were Veronica's sisters and it gets better, she has 6 brothers too. I was amazed by their family. They were so sweet, gracious hosts and you could tell they all really love one another.

And finally, a baby update......Yes, we drove to Kansas City and no, I didn't tell my midwife. :/ But David stopped several times on the long drive so I could walk and I drank lots of water. But thankfully baby girl #3 did not make her entrance into the world. 38+ weeks now and wedding behind us, we can have this baby now. ;)

"Animal Doctor"

Today the four of us sat on the front porch swing and watched a much needed thunderstorm blow over. Once it started to pour we saw several frogs come out and enjoy the rain too. Hazel loves animals, especially ones that she can catch. So of course she wanted to catch a frog. I was surprised that she just ran out in the rain with no hesitation, but of course the rain wasn't on her mind. After her first attempt she came back on the porch and said, "I'm scared, they're fairly huge". On her second attempt she caught one of them, brought it back on the porch and yelled, "I think I'm almost an animal doctor!". Hayden took one look at it, poked it in the eye and said "eye". :)

Here are some pictures of our little "animal doctor"

This is Cluck Cluck, named by Hazel and held by Hazel since it was a baby chick. She loves catching and holding the chickens at my parents house. I am amazed every time she comes up to me after catching a huge chicken. She is very gentle and in my opinion brave (I'm not a fan of chickens, look at those nasty feet :/ ).

4th of July Weekend

When its 105, even Daddy can fit in the pool.

Despite the wardrobe malfunction, Haydes needed to take a call.

Edmond's 4th of July Parade:

Both girls loved the parade. Hayden wore her headband, stood and clapped almost the entire time and Hazel really loved all the horses that were dressed up.

Baby Prep

I found one newborn diaper in some of ournewborn things so I put it on the changing table. David saw it and said, "Is this the extent of our baby preparation.....one diaper?" I'm working on it, ok. :)
